Authenticity Architects
Authenticity Architects is a unique model of heart-centered psychotherapy and coaching. Based on 40+ years of experience as a therapist and educator, I developed an approach that excavates core shame and allows you to thrive, not just survive.
In our time together we create a blueprint of your authentic life. Then together, we design a life made from heart.
Authenticity relates to the degree in which your actions are congruent with your desires, despite external pressures to conform.
The word architect is derived from the Greek origin “chief builder.”
You are the chief builder of your congruent life.
You are unique. No two blueprints are alike.
Authenticity Architects help you excavate the barriers to living true to your SELF (Safe Experience of Living Freely.)
Family therapist Virginia Satir taught these five basic human freedoms:
- The freedom to see and hear what is here, instead of what “should” be, was, or will be.
- The freedom to say what you feel and think, instead of what you “should” feel and think.
- The freedom to feel what you feel, instead of what you “ought” to feel.
- The freedom to ask for what you want, instead of always waiting for permission.
- The freedom to take risks on you own behalf, instead of choosing to be only secure.
Research has shown that the heart is the regulatory organ, not the brain. When your heart is in coherence with your brain, everything feels better. As an authenticity architect you learn how to regulate your heart and manage your stress. You learn that all feelings are meant to be felt. You learn how to love with abandon. You learn to live the life you were born to live.
“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” Rainer Marie Rilke
Under the section How I Can Help you will see my areas of specialty. I use authenticity architects tools in each of these as we navigate your specific struggles.
